A platform for aspiring leaders to explore and showcase their insights on international marketplaces through an essay competition.
First, I would like to thank everyone for participating. I did not expect to recieve this many submissions. I have built this platform out of my passion for international business and interest in the global political economy. An inexperienced website-maker made this site (me), so I apologize for the poor aesthetics.
In organizing the competition, I drew on my role as Secretary General of my school's Model UN club, enlisting fellow officers with strong backgrounds in international affairs to help as readers. I selected prompts that reflect my own interests—like cross-border mergers and economic sanctions—ensuring that I could engage with participants’ ideas in a thoughtful and informed way.
To ensure fairness, every essay is evaluated using a consistent rubric. Those that meet a high standard are reviewed by me personally, a process that became a rewarding part of my summer as I read over 100 submissions. For the final selection, I turned to AP teachers at my school, whose insights were invaluable in identifying the top essays. My goal has always been to create an enriching experience for all participants, and I hope this competition serves as a stepping stone for those who share my enthusiasm for exploring the complexities of the global economy.
